I've had the wonderful pleasure of meeting and celebrating life with the Hughes family. I'm so grateful for their trust in me to document such a precious and sweet child. This was the first time I went to their Virginia home and it's fabulous!!!! I loved everything about it.

Kara really does have the perfect pregnant belly. It's so beautiful and she's darn proud of it, too. We had such a great time exploring the creative possibilites. She brought a suitcase full of goodies and just went with it. This is such an amazing time for a woman. So many incredible things happening to the body and soul in preparation for this huge life changing experience. It's a time that should be flaunted and celebrated.
I say, so what if you get big ankles and you've gained a bazillion pounds. Be proud of it. Flaunt it! It's still sexy, beautiful and amazing. Our bodies are doing incredible things. Eat a few bons bons and enjoy it. But, don't forget to eat lots of spinach, too.

Piper has a very fitting name. She has a lot of spunk and knows what she wants and, well, doesn't want. And she has the coolest room! So bright and colorful. And when she put the pink tutu on, I couldn't stand how darn cute she was. And her eyes, her eyes will make you melt. Wendy & Robert have a little gem. Thanks so much for allowing me to see your very special world.

I met Jaime & Bryan at Renee & Young's Wedding (see previous post). I think I've photographed an entire department's staff at University of Maryland Medical Center. Crazy. Come to think of it, I used to work in their photography lab ages ago when the doctor's needed film developed, slideshows and slide duplicates made for presentations. Times have changed. And I think I just showed my age.
But, back to Jaime & Bryan. They are so cute together and they've been together since High School. How cool is that? And now they're going to have a little person very soon. And Jaime is just glowing! Seriously. She's beautiful. I'm so excited to have had the chance to document this very special time in their lives.

This was their idea...and I love it!
Over the past two years I documented the Hayden & Hendrix duo (twins). What a hoot these two are. Well, this very special family moved to Florida and so I don't get to see them as much. But, they were in town for a vist and called to see if I would document their family. I, of course, said YES! We met at the Botanical Gardens in Druid Hill Park. A beautiful setting for two crazy kids who ran in two different directions the entire shoot. One didn't like the wet grass, one loved to sing on a podium, neither were very interested in me photographing them. Hee. Hee. But, it all worked out. I hope I have the chance to go visit them in Florida with the new Destination Sessions we're offering clients. Very exciting. Thank you so much for taking the time from your busy to see me and allow me to document your adorable duo!
Life Images is expanding into the Senior Portrait world. We've got some fantastic concepts churning at full speed with the help of some very special students who are totally excited about it. They've been helping us brainstorm on what's hot and what's not. I recently documented Brittany. She's an amazing swimmer & Senior Class president at her High School. Loves the outdoors. On this particular shoot the outdoors wasn't being so kind to us. It basically poured the moment we arrived for the shoot. But, it all worked out. Patience was the virtue. After doing a few images indoors, the rain left and we were able to continue with our concepts. Enjoy. And stay tuned for more images of other Seniors.
