Sonya & Steve. An Engagement Session in beautiful Georgetown, DC.

I had a terrific engagement session with Sonya & Steve, who are getting married at end of May.  We wanted to start of our session at waterfront area of Georgetown near the Sequoia Restaurant.  But, when we go there the fountain had been taped off and the water was gone.  So, plan B: just wander and see what we come up with.  Sounds good to me.  I think plan B worked out pretty darn well.  Can't wait to document their wedding.

Julia & Steve. Long Distance Love in DC.

Julia & Steve live almost 7000 miles apart. She in DC and he in Japan while he serves in Navy. You know there is a very strong bond between these two. This past week Steve was in town for a whirlwind tour of what will be his wedding day, as well as, an engagement session with yours truly (even with crazy jet lag). It was cold outside, so we stepped into the National Portrait Gallery for a peak at beautiful pieces of art and then popped into the stunning Hotel Monaco.

I'm so excited for for their wedding in April !  It's going to be stunning and a ton of fun, especially with Sara Muchnick of Engaging Affairs at the helm.

Sarah & Keith. A Post Wedding Session at Patapsco State Park.

Sarah & Keith had an amazing wedding.  Not because they swanked it out, but because every step of the way they made certain it was a little piece of them to share with family & friends.  And it worked.   For our post-wedding session they chose to go near the place where Keith first proposed to Sarah.  Patapsco State Park is a favorite hiking place for them.  So, we went there to document their session.  The day was beautiful.  Warm Fall weather, which is a little odd.  But, I'm not complaining.  Clearly, these two are very much in love.  Thanks Keith & Sarah!

Courtney & Jonathan. An Engagement Session in Georgetown, DC.

We've all heard the saying "absence makes the heart grow fonder."  Well, let's just say that Courtney & Jonathan are experts at the long distance relationship thing and they definitely have fond hearts for one another.  They know DCA airport like the back of their hands.  They should.  They travel back and forth between Arlington & Miami every other weekend to see each other.  Now, that's love.  Pure and simple. A favorite spot of theirs is Georgetown.  So, we wondered the back streets in search of something...oh I don't know...special.

I can't wait to document their wedding in 2010.

Jessica & Bobby. An E-Session in Fells Point, Baltimore.

Jessica & Bobby met in high school.  Yes, high school.  Think Breakfast Club.  And now they're getting married.  So cool.  They are doing a Baltimore MD-style wedding at the gorgeous Botanical Gardens in Druid Hill Park in early October.  To keep in tune with the Baltimore theme, they chose Fells Point as the place for their E-Session.  And it's where Bobby proposed to Jessica.

Bobby hid a bottle of wine with a card beneath the dock (see where the little ledge is) and proposed that way.  Jessica said she was complaining because they were walking around for a long while (he was waiting for the right moment) and she didn't know what was going on.  Isn't that always the case.

Renee & Young. Keeping it Simple.

Renee & Young met at work.  She had just started at the hospital and within two weeks  she was dating the love of her life.  Pretty darn cute, no?  The duo didn't want a fancy-shmancy portrait session. They wanted something simple and sweet. So, we stayed in the studio and did just that. I'm photographing their wedding in September and can't wait!
