Lenna & Sergio. An Engagement Session in Washington, DC.

Lenna & Sergio are the winners of our first annual "Show us the Love of Your Life" free wedding contest held earlier this year.  Part of the free wedding contest included a portrait session.  We chose the beautiful Hotel Monaco and surrounding area in downtown DC as a backdrop for shoot. 

Lenna & Sergio have a unique story of how they met.  They crossed paths three times before they truly met.  The first was through a mutual workplace filled with 600 people.  They never spoke.  The next was two years later with a random meeting in a restaurant.  They exchanged with the courtesy "hello".  Two weeks later, however, they nearly bumped into each other while crossing Conneticut Avenue.  Third time is a charm and email addresses were exchanged.  They began to date soon after.  However, one month later Sergio had to move back to his home country of Guatamala for two years.  Lenna was devastated by the move, but they both decided to make a go of it against the odds.  The distance made them stronger and within a year Lenna found an opportunity in Guatamala and made the move to be with him.  They are so glad they made the effort to make it work.

And so are we!  They will be celebrating their marriage in March of 2009.
